Our clients were in need of a multipurpose outdoor building that would act as a tool shed, work space, and a barbecuing and relaxation spot. The shed needed to be usable even without plugins or electricity outlets.
As with all projects, SML began by gathering all the necessary requirements from our client, sketching ideas, and ideating on those drawings until the perfect design was created.
This shed was constructed using native cedar and tension cables. The roof is translucent corrugated plastic which allows for daylight admittance instead of relying on artificial lighting for illumination. There is ample space for storage, and the doors can be fully opened to create a large workable space.
